Untitled (Idolization Space) brings attention to the sacred realm within which art and design are increasingly placed; the postmodern cult of creativity proliferating as concept and significance have diluted. We are obsessed with the visual - exacerbated by the internet, a medium that allows little interpretation or consideration for meaning over the immediacy of aesthetics. Our minds crave incessant stimulation, turning to blogs and social media for inspiration and resulting in an immediate and unending stream of imagery, disordered and removed from the text required to interpret meaning. Kept in this state of rapid input, the mind reaches a state of over-stimulation that is distracted, sensitive, and hyperactive.

WOOLF is concept driven design, created without compromising craftsmanship. The techniques and materials used by designers Adrian Kenny and Adam Balkwill tell their story: respect for the past, embracing innovation. WOOLF collaborated with curator Sara Nickleson on a 3D printing lab for 3DXL, the first incarnation of the Design Exchange Satellite exhibition initiative. Nickleson works as an independent curator, designer and artist.
