Bruno Billio + Romar Johnson | Exterior, West Side Of Building

Bruno Billio is a Canadian artist working from an interdisciplinary background. At once an installation artist, a sculptor, and a designer, Billio creates challenging works informed by his command of each of these practices. The artist is currently living and working in Toronto, and has been the resident artist at the Gladstone Hotel on Queen West, in the fashionable art gallery district in Toronto, for more than a decade. Bruno Billio has exhibited internationally in Milan, London, Miami, New York and Los Angeles.

Romar Johnson's creative work is screen and projection base installations. They are many instances where Johnson's visuals accompany live music and react to sonic instances in a concert setting, designing real time generative art Johnson is always searching for new ways to effect space and engage audiences.

For this year's come up to my room 2016 Bruno Billio will collaborate with artist Romar Johnston to transform the exterior transom windows of his studio into LED boards that tells the story of the Gladstone Hotel . This project will be seen from the outside of the building and run 24 hrs a day over the four day show.
