Jade Rude is a Toronto-based artist/designer who works in a variety of media, examining the relationship between perception and physical presence â€“ exploring surface as is relates to shapes and forms. She had attended post-secondary schools in Norway, England, and received a BFA from the Alberta College of Art and Design. Before moving to Toronto in 2002, she was a furniture designer/fabricator in Calgary, Alberta. She has been the chair of YYZ Artist's Outlet in Toronto and work for various art establishments â€“ directing, exhibition coordinating and installing. She has exhibited in Canada, the US and Europe.
