Restoration Mediation explores the ostentatious forms and function of historical furniture and domestic objects one may have found in a "Victorian" hotel room in 1890. The goal is to interpret and construct the forms using paper casting techniques to exaggerate the workmanship of period furniture.
Michael Neville is an artist and designer living and working in Detroit, Michigan. His practice focuses on the intersection of fine art, design and craft. Michael recently graduated with an MFA in 3D Design from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
