Penumbra by Chromatic Aberration | Studio 206

Penumbra is a trans-formative collage that uses light to project through engraved glass and wooden sculptures, creating an ever-changing, interactive shadow narrative. The installation has various urban environments: each consisting of hand-blown, engraved glass surrounded by handcrafted wooden structures nestled into each other. Small lights are placed throughout each environment, some on turntables, to create a room consumed floor-to-ceiling in shadow. As the viewers enter the space, they become immediately caught in the light, therefore becoming part of the work. ——————————————— Chromatic Aberration consists of Becky Lauzon (glass artist), Johnny Cann (light artist) and Michael Rennick (mixed media artist). Combining our craft, we seek to create narrative through shadow, interaction and sculpture.
