Ryan Legassicke | Room 210

Ryan presents an installation incorporating furniture, glassware, lighting and drawings to present his site as an old and derelict sitting room that has been discovered in the midst of renovation. A snapshot moment that is creation of his own imagination ironically set within the midst of the real renovations.

Ryan studied at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, and the Alberta College of Art and Design. His exhibitions include “Looking Forward” at The McMaster Museum of Art in Hamilton, Ontario, 2000-01; “A Faculty of Wonder” at The Marion Nicoll Gallery, Calgary, Alberta, 2002; and “Piano Works” at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa, Ontario, 2003. Ryan is currently teaching sculpture in the glass department at Sheridan College.
