uA with R. Eland & T. Nemeskeri | Room 204

uA is multidisciplinary collective founded in 2010 by James Brazil, César Daoud and Nicholas Waissbluth in Barcelona, Spain. The international decentralized studio is engaged in architecture + art projects merging its diverse cultural background with new technologies, creating new models of participatory design and fabrication. For the 2012 edition of Come Up To My Room, uA has teamed up with two Toronto-based designers: Robert Eland, whose work as an architect and sculptor has explored multiple media from furniture to electronics, public installations to drawing; and Thomas Nemeskeri, an architect, artist and photographer, whose current work explores heuristic modes of representation within Architecture. Thomas has lectured in Canada and in Europe and recently collaborated on the book Agency; a critical re-examination of Sustainability and the role of the Humanities in Architecture.
