'Lucid Dreaming' by Whyishnave Suthagar

An immersive thread and black light sculpture that allows the viewer to enter the portal and take a moment to experience a trance inducing state. This is a multimedia piece that will also includes a looping sound component accompanying the installation. The thread ripples on the floor are meant to imitate ocean waves in the same way gravel in a zen garden do. The sound accompaniment is meant to produce a tranquil yet escapist effect.

Whyishnave Suthagar is a multimedia artist from Mississauga, Ontario. She has received her BFA from McMaster University's School of the Arts. Her practice focuses on creating collage, installation and sound based work.
